I love collard greens. Yes I do. I could sing their praises all day. The are a fabulously cost-efficient, large, hardy green that adapts well to many dishes. This particular bunch I picked up from the PCC was HUGE. My largest leaf had a span of nearly 12" across, not to mention the thing was about 15" long! You know how much these marvelous greens set me back? $1.99. You read correct, >2. Sometimes you can even get these puppies for less (like in the C.D. where they are $0.99 a bunch!). Tonight I am combining these with some carrots sauteed in butter and garlic, salt and pepper and finally squeezing them with lemon juice before I serve them. Bon Apetit! Monday Monday Monday. My weekend ended far too quickly. That's what I get for spending most of Saturday sleeping! I suck. The only thing of note I did was grocery shop, retrieve my forgotten wallet, and laundry. Don't you all envy my life?

Love the picture. And now I want to try the greens!
I love this picture almost as much as I love collards.
They were just go giant. On my way home all I could think was "I'm such a fan of collards". Har har har
that almost scares me it so big.
